Yahoo! Mail (Classic)
STATUS: Solid Support screenshot
Summary: Yahoo! Mail (Classic) is a model webmail client, supporting nearly everything on our list and a whole lot more. We can only hope that other webmail-client developers will learn from the support Yahoo! Mail (Classic) offers without compromising security, speed or features.
One thing to note is that Yahoo! Mail (Classic) offers a feature which can disrupt a:hover. This feature, "shortcuts," offers additional actions for links including searching the web. Preferences can be set to underline phone numbers, calendar events and more. When the two styles clash, the result is a white background on a:hover. We feel that Yahoo! could remedy this by using background-color: transparent on their own a:hover. Last updated: 28 November 2007

Recommendations for Improvement
Normal Priority recommendations
While not absolutely critical, we would like to see Yahoo! improve Yahoo! Mail (Classic) to support the following CSS properties:
List-style-image: A design can be enhanced by dressing up bullets in a UL. The two most popular methods for making this happen are the default list-style-image and an alternate, more controllable method using background-image and padding. When list-style-image is defined and then not supported, the degradation is minor in that a default bullet is displayed. However, it’s a modest property which, when supported, can greatly enhance a visual design.
