Email Standards Project

Summary: Yahoo! Mail (Classic) is a model webmail client, supporting nearly everything on our list and a whole lot more. We can only hope that other webmail-client developers will learn from the support Yahoo! Mail (Classic) offers without compromising security, speed or features.

One thing to note is that Yahoo! Mail (Classic) offers a feature which can disrupt a:hover. This feature, "shortcuts," offers additional actions for links including searching the web. Preferences can be set to underline phone numbers, calendar events and more. When the two styles clash, the result is a white background on a:hover. We feel that Yahoo! could remedy this by using background-color: transparent on their own a:hover.
